Teflon catheter |
Start by replacing it twice a week. If there are no problems try using it 4-5 days before replacement. |
Metal needle |
Replace every threed day, more often if signs of irritation are noted. |
Tubing |
Replace the tubing at least every other time you replace the needle/catheter and when you replace the reservoir. |
Insulin reservoir |
Some pumps have prefilled reservoirs, other need to be filled. Do not reuse them as the silicon on the plunger wears off, resulting in "no delivery" alarms. |
